Mechanics Lien Tracker (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is dedicated to protecting the privacy, commercial confidentiality, and proprietary business records of general contractors, subcontractors, material suppliers, equipment lessors, and construction trades.

This Privacy Policy explains how Mechanics Lien Tracker operates under a 100% Local-First, Zero-Cloud-Collection Architecture.

1. Core Principle: 100% On-Device Privacy & Confidentiality

Construction project contracts, jobsite addresses, property owner identities, outstanding balances, retainage amounts, and statutory dispute documentation contain confidential business data, trade secrets, and sensitive lien rights.

• No Cloud Transmission: All project profiles, contract amounts, notice deadlines, proof of service affidavits, USPS tracking numbers, and PDF documents are created, processed, and stored exclusively in a sandboxed, encrypted SQLite database on your physical device.
• No Remote Server Storage: We do not operate remote databases or user account servers. We cannot access, view, sell, or disclose your jobsite or contractor records under any circumstances.
• No Account Registration: You are never required to register an account, provide an email address, or enter personal identity details to use Mechanics Lien Tracker.

2. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions (Apple StoreKit 2)

All purchases and subscriptions (Monthly Pro, Annual Pro, Single Jobsite Pass) are processed exclusively through Apple’s native App Store (StoreKit 2).

• Financial Information: We never receive, process, or store your credit card details, bank information, or billing address. Apple processes all transactions pursuant to Apple’s Privacy Policy.
• Receipt Validation: Subscription entitlements are validated locally on your device using Apple’s cryptographically signed App Store JWS (JSON Web Signature) receipts.

3. Data Storage, Backup, and Retention

• Local Storage: All data is stored in your device’s application sandbox using standard SQLite with Write-Ahead Logging (WAL).
• iCloud Backup: If you enable Apple’s standard iCloud device backup, your sandboxed app data is backed up according to your personal Apple iCloud settings, encrypted with your personal Apple ID credentials.
• Data Deletion: Deleting the Mechanics Lien Tracker application from your device permanently and irreversibly purges all local databases, milestone schedules, and generated legal notices from your device.

4. Third-Party Analytics and Tracking

• Zero Third-Party Trackers: Mechanics Lien Tracker does not embed third-party advertising SDKs, tracking libraries, cross-site trackers, or behavioral analytics (no Facebook SDK, no Google AdMob).
• Apple Diagnostic Data: If you explicitly opt in to share crash diagnostics with app developers in your iOS settings, Apple may provide anonymous, aggregated crash reports to help us resolve crashes and improve software stability.

5. Regulatory Compliance (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA)

Because Mechanics Lien Tracker does not collect, process, or store personal or commercial information on remote servers:

• We do not sell or share personal information.
• All data portability (exporting PDF evidence packages or milestone records) is executed locally by you on your own device.
• Right to Erasure / “Right to Be Forgotten” is instantaneously fulfilled by deleting your local project records or deleting the application.
